Independent Milestones is seeking a passionate and motivated Paediatric Occupational Therapist with experience in the community-based National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) space to join our growing team across the Bellarine Peninsula and Geelong.

This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist who values relationship-based practice, strengths-focused support, and achieving meaningful outcomes for children and their families.

In this role, you will deliver community-based paediatric occupational therapy services, supporting children and young people to build functional skills, support participation, and develop confidence and independence across home, school, early learning, and community environments.

We offer a flexible and autonomous role within a small, supportive, and collaborative allied health team, where your clinical reasoning and approach are valued.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver paediatric OT assessments and intervention in community settings (home, school, childcare, and community environments)

  • Support children with developmental delays, disabilities, sensory processing differences, emotional regulation, self-care, play, and participation

  • Collaborate closely with families, educators, and other allied health professionals

  • Complete high-quality documentation, reports, and NDIS-related recommendations

  • Contribute to goal setting and therapy planning that is strengths-based and family-centred

About you

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy preferred; applicants with related Bachelor qualifications (e.g. Psychology, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy) are also encouraged to apply as other roles are available

  • AHPRA registration (or eligibility)

  • Experience in Paediatric Occupational Therapy

  • NDIS experience

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently in the community

  • Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

  • Medicare provider number (or willing to obtain)

  • Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)

What we offer

  • Flexible hours (contractor, part-time, full-time options available)

  • Community-based caseload with manageable travel

  • Supportive onboarding and ongoing mentoring

  • Administrative support to reduce non-clinical load

  • Opportunities to work alongside an Allied Health Assistant

  • A values-driven practice focused on quality, not quantity

  • Laptop and phone
